DATA CELLAR at the Energy Ireland Renewable Energy Summit
The DATA CELLAR project, an innovative initiative funded by the European Commission, was featured at the Energy Ireland Renewable Energy Summit 2024, held in Dublin in November. The summit, is a key event for Ireland’s reneswable energy sector, drawing over 200 stakeholders and a distinguished panel of speakers to explore the nation’s renewable energy future.
This year’s Summit provided a platform to discuss Ireland’s ambitious targets outlined in the Government’s Climate Action Plan 2023, including achieving 80% of electricity from renewable sources, developing significant wind and solar capacities, and leveraging green hydrogen. Against the backdrop of increasing energy security concerns and the global climate crisis, the event highlighted the innovative solutions and collaborative efforts required to meet these goals.
As part of the discussions on new technologies and sustainable practices, our partners from Trilateral Research showcased DATA CELLAR. Through its participation, the project underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration, leveraging data for enhanced decision-making, and addressing critical challenges such as energy storage, planning systems, and skills development.
This event served as an excellent opportunity to engage with policymakers, industry leaders, and stakeholders across sectors.
