DATA CELLAR webinar series: A decision support system for Energy Communities
New webinar presenting a Decision Support System (DSS) for Energy Communities.
Date: Thursday, 18th September 2025
Time: 9:00 – 10:30 CEST
Location: Online (link will be provided upon registration)
Featuring Luis Luengo (CIRCE) and Giannis Iakovidis (CERTH).
Discover the innovative digital tools we are developing within the DATA CELLAR EU project to empower Energy Communities and enhance the future of decentralized energy management. Our solutions are designed to support stakeholders in unlocking flexibility, optimizing resources, and enabling efficient, resilient grid operations.
The suite of tools includes:
- Optimal RES Sizing – methodologies to determine the most effective renewable energy system configuration for community-scale deployment.
- Flexibility Estimation – advanced models to quantify and assess the potential of distributed assets to provide demand response and flexibility services.
- Optimal DSO Resources – decision-support tools to improve distribution system operator planning and resource allocation in the context of high DER penetration.
- Optimal Grid Operation – algorithms and frameworks to ensure reliable, cost-efficient, and sustainable operation of local energy systems and community grids.
- Energy & Lifecycle Analysis for LECs Projects – Life Cycle Assessment service evaluating environmental and economic impacts of local energy communities across sectors, and a building-level Energy Simulation service providing KPIs for non-expert users.
